Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! The word “happy” implies the holiday is a celebration. It is my most accounts, but it is more about remembrance – the act of recalling to mind.

Whatever your political persuasion, this holiday is to honor those men and woman who have served the U.S. Armed Forces to protect the freedoms of our great nation. Those freedoms that allow us to have blogs, communicate on social networks, and to get in our cars and travel from state to state without papers or permission.

Many will get this day off from work. It is typically considered a long weekend and the kick off to the Summer season. Enjoy, travel safe, and barbecue with friends and family.  I would ask that you take a moment and offer a silent prayer of thanks to those in our past and to those who are currently serving.  Trust me.  They will hear.  I know – I was one of them…
